Life Cycle Optimization and Engineering Capabilities

We leverage decades of experience providing logistics and maintenance services to our defense, commercial, and international customers. We work at military depots, aboard U.S. Navy carriers, and in supply chain warehouses here and abroad. Below are just a few examples of the work we do.

Global Material Management

Material management is one of the critical components behind the readiness of the legacy systems supporting today’s warfighters.  Increased operations tempos and declining budgets magnify the challenges that operators face in ensuring they have all the parts, repairables, and consumables required to keep out-of-production platforms mission capable. That is why operators around the globe turn to Northrop Grumman’s Global Material Management (GMM) team. GMM leads the way in delivering turnkey material management solutions for legacy aircraft, radar, and electronic systems.

Fleet Sustaining Engineering

LCOE’s engineering capability provides effective, low-cost aftermarket services in avionics and electronics systems.  Leveraging key technologies such as RePlace, a software emulator that enables LCOE to migrate obsolete avionics processors to completely new processor hardware without modifying or rewriting legacy code, exemplify their lean and agile approach.  LCOE’s modernization of the Electronic Warfare Systems and of aging weapon system avionics demonstrates the benefits of their FSE solutions.

Fleet Depot Maintenance

LCOE has the infrastructure and the skilled, motivated personnel to provide customers with complete aircraft MRO support.  Currently, their FDM capability is applied to total sustainment responsibility for the fleet of Joint Stars surveillance aircraft, as well as for the Hunter unmanned aerial system, both vital weapons in the Global War on Terrorism.

Contractor Logistics Support

LCOE has extensive best-value CLS capabilities across a wide spectrum of technical services with corporate technology reach-back for added weapon systems sustainment and modernization.  This capability all Technical Services businesses as well as Northrop Grumman’s product lines such as new weapons systems development and production programs.
