Northrop Grumman has assembled a best-in-breed team to provide contractor logistics support (CLS) for the KC/KDC-10. Teammates include TIMCO Aviation Services Inc., AAR, Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC and MTU Maintenance.
Northrop Grumman Technical Services Life Cycle Optimization and Engineering Group
The Technical Services Life Cycle Optimization and Engineering (LCOE) Group works to manage and sustain America's weapons systems across their life cycles, from production and operational support to maintenance and ultimate disposal. The LCOE Group has operations and field service personnel working across the United States, with major locations in California, Arizona, Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri, Maryland, Ohio, Louisiana, and Georgia. Field service personnel also support military customers in theater and around the globe at 18 international locations.
One of the world's leading aviation support companies and will provide the KC/KDC-10 program the supply chain management solution. AAR supports a broad range of commercial and military customers with just-in-time delivery, parts exchange, comprehensive inventory management programs, component repair services, Parts Manufacture Approval (PMA) parts supply and systems integration solutions. AAR is a proven Northrop Grumman partner, providing supply chain maintenance support on USAF Joint STARS Program and the United Kingdom E-3B Whole Life Support Program.
Chromalloy and MTU Maintenance
Will provide the engine maintenance and related value added management solutions for the Northrop Grumman team. Chromalloy's Designated Engineering repair processes use cost-effective Federal Aviation Administration-approved PMA parts to leverage savings such as demonstrated by the $85 million saved on the U.S. Air Force T-39 program. MTU Maintenance is the largest and most successful CF6-50 engine overhaul facility in North America and earned Boeing's Gold Supplier rating for CF6-50 service on the U.S. Air Force's E-4B program.
The largest single independent provider of fully integrated aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul services for major commercial and government aircraft operators in North America, supporting its customers with comprehensive, individually tailored aircraft-care services. TIMCO has extensive experience in maintaining, repairing and modifying DC-10 type aircraft. Since 2003, TIMCO has provided outstanding services to seven major DC-10 operators encompassing over 1.8 million man-hours of work.
